I have been working with film since 2019, when I first picked up a film camera and began transitioning away professionally from digital photography. After spending my late teens and early twenties exploring digital work—primarily portrait galleries—I was drawn to analog photography for its wabi-sabi nature. I found appreciation in the way film allowed me the freedom to push boundaries and explore limits to what I could manipulate within my own creative process.

I enjoy the high-risk, high-reward process of film. There is always an opportunity to experiment, evolve, and challenge what I think I know.

Alongside my photographic work, my academic work has helped intersect my understanding of sensory perception, human experience, and the ways people respond to nature, environments, and visual imagery. 

My gravitation towards flowers stems from both a biological curiosity and a desire to experience as many of their endlessly varied colors, forms, and textures as I can. Because flowers meet us at many life-changing moments—celebration, love, and grief—I feel drawn to capture and admire their existence through my own creative expression.

I will eternally be experimenting with new mediums—I’d love to explore further into super 8, cyanotype, and mixed-media art—and am always open to collaborative efforts in these fields.
